Although Alondra received her master鈥檚 degree, she encountered many challenges navigating her undergraduate and graduate studies. Some of these obstacles were:
- First-generation and Queer student.
- Grew up low-income with working-class parents. Medical Advocate for her family.

- MS Higher Education from California State University, Fullerton.
- BA in Chicano/Chicana studies and two minors in Community Regional Development and Education from UC Davis.

Alondra enjoys traveling, hiking, going to concerts, soccer games, and spending time with family, friends, partner, and her dog Nismo.
