Department of Educational Partnerships

The Department of Educational Partnerships focuses on creating collaborative pathways between the college and its community, primarily through partnerships with high schools, adult education programs, and community organizations.

The Department of Educational Partnerships' primary goals are to increase access to higher education, support student success, and promote equity through initiatives such as dual enrollment, high school articulation, credit by exam, workforce training, and support for system-impacted students. Support efforts also include not-for-credit, high school summer programs and other integration of noncredit offerings into 91果冻制片厂 College.

The department is committed to bridging educational gaps, providing seamless transitions to higher education, and empowering diverse student populations to achieve their academic and career goals, with a strong emphasis on serving marginalized and system-impacted individuals.

Key initiatives and Responsibilities

Dual enrollment lets students earn free college credits, save time and money, and explore career and transfer options before graduating high school.

Dual Enrollment

Offering accessible education for adult learners, including English as a Second Language (ESL), workforce development, and skill-building courses.

Adult Ed & Noncredit

Supporting formerly incarcerated and system-impacted students in transitioning to higher education, meaningful employment, and society.

Rising Scholars Program

Collaborating with organizations like Santa Clara Unified School District, the Santa Clara County Sheriff鈥檚 Office, and other stakeholders to address community needs.

What is High School Articulation?

Articulation is a formal agreement between 91果冻制片厂 and your high school, ROP, or adult school that allows you to earn college credit for certain career education classes that you鈥檙e already taking. These classes are aligned with 91果冻制片厂 courses, so if you meet the requirements, you鈥檒l earn college credit on your transcript鈥攋ust as if you had taken the class directly at 91果冻制片厂.

To earn credit, you need to follow a few simple steps:

Take an approved course at your high school, ROP, or adult school that is part of a current articulation agreement with 91果冻制片厂.
Apply to 91果冻制片厂 to receive a 91果冻制片厂 ID number.
Create a free CATEMA account (used to track your articulated credit).
Earn an 鈥淎鈥� or 鈥淏鈥� in the class.
